Kathy lived in the area and worked a couple different jobs. For the past 28 years she worked with her special friend, Gale Rasmusson, at the Spring Valley Bakery. Gale died just a few short months ago on Nov. 28, 2011.

The things that made Kathy the happiest were her family, friends, church, her special pet chinchilla, "Derf," and in her own words: "music, music, music." Her battle with cancer was tough, but Kathy kept a positive attitude and loved life.
