Kathy was born Nov. 15, 1949, the daughter of Cyril and Marcella (Bechel) Schlosser in Plum City, Wis. She attended Wood Country School and Spring Valley High School and was a member of the class of 1967.
On Feb. 19, 1966, Kathy married Richard Roatch at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Spring Valley. They were blessed with three children: Don, Chuck, and Mary Jo. Although the marriage ended in divorce, Richard and Kathy remained close.
Kathy lived in the area and worked a couple different jobs. For the past 28 years she worked with her special friend, Gale Rasmusson, at the Spring Valley Bakery. Gale died just a few short months ago on Nov. 28, 2011.
The things that made Kathy the happiest were her family, friends, church, her special pet chinchilla, "Derf," and in her own words: "music, music, music." Her battle with cancer was tough, but Kathy kept a positive attitude and loved life.
