Delores Marie Schommer, age 82, of River Falls, formerly of Ellsworth, died Monday, Aug. 20, at Our House, River Falls, Wis.
Delores was born on Aug. 29, 1929, in Red Wing, Minn., the daughter of Lee and Ruth (Baker) Kinneman. Delores lived her life in the Prescott and Ellsworth communities. Her life revolved around her family. One of greatest joys was spending time at her home on Bone Lake, Wis.
She is survived by her eight children: Mike (Cheryl) Schommer, Peter Allen (Anne Marie) Schommer, Karen (Ric) Kees, Diane (Dan) Richmond, Barb (Roman) Hendrickson, Linda (Cal) Pechacek, Doreen (Doug) Eichman, Jim (Roxie) Schommer Jr.; 19 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; five siblings, Avis (Ralph) Huppert, Rodney (Kay) Kinneman, Bob (Rochelle) Kinneman, Lloyd (Phyllis) Kinneman, Dori (Dick) Keeley.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husbands, James Schommer and Loren Webster; granddaughter Emily Delores; parents; brother Allen Kinneman; and sister Marion Kiechler.
Funeral services for Delores will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, at the Hill Funeral Home, Ellsworth. Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, River Falls. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until time of services on Thursday. Memorials are preferred to the Arthritis Foundation for rheumatoid arthritis research/Arthritis.org.
