She was the youngest child of Axel and Alice (Larson) Christenson. She was born on April 23, 1924. She married Charles “Bud” Kline Sr. on June 23, 1944.
She was an active member of Our Savior’s Lutheran church.
Florence is survived by her three children, Barbara Smith of Pepin, Wis., Charles (Romina) Kline Jr. of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Peggy (Larry) Hoyer of Ellsworth; six grandchildren, one step-grandchild, nine great-grandchildren, and two step-great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law Florence Christenson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Kline Sr.; son-in-law Ira Smith; grandson SPC Bert Hoyer; brothers, Marvin, Raymond, and Irwin Christenson; and sisters, Ione Christenson and Clara Henry-Hall.
A funeral service for Florence will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at the Hill Funeral Home in Ellsworth and for 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
