Ruth Anne Thompson, age 57, of Roberts, passed away, Thursday, Aug. 30, at Fairview University Hospital, Minneapolis, Minn.
Ruth Anne Thompson, age 57, of Roberts, passed away, Thursday, Aug. 30, at Fairview University Hospital, Minneapolis, Minn.
Ruth was born on March 9, 1955, in Red Wing, Minn., to Nancy C. and Howard K. Thompson.
She is survived by son, Greame Thompson, Chicago; brother Howard (Jean) Thompson, Prescott; sisters: Terri (Jack) Covill, Chippewa Falls; Nancy (Neal Weber) Thompson, New Richmond; Ninette (Bruce) VanSky, Chippewa Falls; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her parents; brother Mark; grandparents, Howard and Ruth Thompson, Anne and Robert Nepereny; uncles, Bob and Don Nepereny; and aunt, Marlene Thompson.
She was a 1974 graduate of Prescott High School and was employed by 3M for over 30 years.
Ruth had a love for animals, especially exotic birds and Pomeranian dogs. She enjoyed gardening and volunteering at her church’s food shelf. She was a member of the Roberts United Church of Christ.
A visitation will be held from 4-6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, at the Hill Funeral Home, Prescott, where there will be a prayer service at 6:30 p.m., with burial to follow in Pine Glen Cemetery, Prescott.
