Donna Myrle Halls, age 81, of Ellsworth, Wis., died Friday, Oct. 5, at St. Brigid's at Hi-Park, Red Wing, Minn.
Donna Myrle Halls, age 81, of Ellsworth, Wis., died Friday, Oct. 5, at St. Brigid's at Hi-Park, Red Wing, Minn.
Donna was born on Oct. 20, 1930, in Ellsworth, the daughter of Kenneth and Mildred (Greeley) Eaton. She was a graduate of Ellsworth High School. Donna married Milton Halls on Nov. 10, 1955, in Ellsworth. She worked in the Pierce County A.S.C.S. office for 37 years. Donna also did bookkeeping for 17 years for her husband, Milt, at Boothby Print Shop in Menomonie.
Donna enjoyed cooking, sewing, music, and making crafts, and holding several craft shows at her home. In her earlier years, she enjoyed playing the accordion and the clarinet.
Donna is survived by her husband of 56 years, Milt Halls, Ellsworth; son, Tom (Eileen) Halls, Ellsworth; sisters: Mary Lou Herr, Keene, Texas; Doris Eaton, Milwaukee, Wis.; Lois (Dick) Waller, Evansville, Wis.; brother, Sherwood Eaton, Keene, Texas; nieces and nephews: Renee Meichtry, Evansville, Wis.; Nathan Waller, Evansville; Eddie (Christine) Herr, Seattle, Wash.; grand-niece, Erin Meichtry.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents and nephew Jon Waller.
Services for Donna will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, at the Hill Funeral Home, Ellsworth. Interment will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Ellsworth. Family and friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and for 1 hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
