Ann Louise Jacques-Filarsky, Aug. 2, 1952 - Dec. 20, 2012, age 60, of Prescott, Wis., died Thursday, Dec. 20, at her home.
Ann Louise Jacques-Filarsky, Aug. 2, 1952 - Dec. 20, 2012, age 60, of Prescott, Wis., died Thursday, Dec. 20, at her home.
Ann was born Aug. 2, 1952, in St. Paul, Minn., to George and Helen (Furber) Jacques.
She grew up in Prescott and graduated from Prescott High School. In summer, Ann worked for the family company, Jacques Seeds, detasseling corn and running crews. After high school, she moved to Eau Claire, Wis., to attend the university. At the university in Eau Claire is where Ann and Ken met and married Aug. 13, 1977.
Later, she moved to Fridley, Minn., where she received a degree in cabinet making from Hennepin Technical School. She moved back to Prescott in 1983 and started her own cabinet shop. Ann later worked at 3-M Chemolite. She loved fishing, hunting, bird watching, gardening, pets, and spending time at the cabin.
Ann is survived by her husband of 35 years, Kendall Filarsky, Prescott; three children, Jonathan Filarsky, Theresa (Ben) Gulsvig, Keith Filarsky; father, George Jacques; sisters, Miki (Paul) Peine, Jaci (Jorv) Gavic, Julie (Neal Wallace) Jacques, Jean Jacques, Georgette Jacques, and Cyd Jacques. Ann is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Helen.
Funeral services for Ann will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec.26, at Joy Lutheran Church, Prescott. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Prescott, at a later date. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until time of services on Wednesday.
