Thomas Neil Luther, 53, of Arkansaw, Wis., died Wednesday, Jan. 9, at his home.

Thomas Neil Luther, 53, of Arkansaw, Wis., died Wednesday, Jan. 9, at his home.

He was born Jan. 16, 1959, in Plum City, Wis., son of Lyle and Arlene Poeschl Luther. He attended Elmwood schools, where he was very good at wrestling. Tom worked various jobs, then become a fire department captain with the Pierre South Dakota Fire Department Engine Company No. 3. He then found his passion in driving truck. Tom drove for various companies and most recently was driving for Peterson trucking out of Arkansaw.

He enjoyed hunting, guns, and motorcycles - "Louder the Harley, the better the Harley." He loved spending time with his friends and family, especially his daughters and grandchildren.

He is survived by his children, Kay Luther of Rapid City, S.D., Kristy Luhman of Watertown, Minn., and Neil Sterling of Fort Pierre, S.D.; two grandchildren, Grace and Evan; his father, Lyle Luther of Plum City, Wis.; sisters, Helen (Jerry) Bechel of Plum City, Loretta Kittelson of Hudson, Wis., Charlene Luther (special friend Brian) of Spring Valley, Wis.; special friend, Valarie Johnson; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Arlene; granddaughter Allie Jo; brother-in-law Bennie Kittelson.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 3-7 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, at Goodrich Funeral Home in Durand.
