Velda Marie Snow, age 87, died Saturday, Jan. 26, at Our House Senior Living in River Falls, Wis.

Velda was born on Dec. 26, 1925, at home in Oak Grove Township, Wis., the daughter of George and Anna Cobian.
She married Vernon Snow on June 20, 1944. They farmed many years and purchased Snowball's Bar in 1958 (which still remains in the family.) She was a lifelong resident of Ellsworth until moving to River Falls with her granddaughter Lisa in 2010 and then moving to assisted living due to health reasons.
She enjoyed playing euchre and spending time with her family.
She is survived by son, Jerald Snow, Whitewood, S.D.; daughter Judy (Duane) Peskar, River Falls; grandchildren: Lisa Haugen, Hudson, Wis.; John (Robin) Snow, New Richmond, Wis.; Nate Fleming, Red Wing, Minn.; Lucas (Jenna) Fleming, Ellsworth, Wis.; Laura (Brad) Kemmerer, Hager City, Wis.; Vernon (Rachel) Snow, Rapid City, S.D.; Velda Snow, Whitewood, S.D.; Jim (Lori) Snow, Red Wing; Leah (Brian) Stensrud, Spring Valley, Wis.; Lindsay (Ryan) Lifto, Ellsworth; 17 great-grandchildren; brother, Donald (Dorothy) Cobian, Hager City; sisters: Geri Berman, Ellsworth; and Donna Walker, New Brighton, Minn.; son-in-law, Jerry Forss, Hager City.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her beloved daughter Joan Forss; sisters Aileen Hildebrandt and Lorraine Huppert.
Funeral arrangements will be at CrossRoad Community Church, Hwy 10, Ellsworth, on Saturday, Feb. 9. Wake 10 a.m.; service 11 a.m.
