Joyce Svec, 94

Joyce Irene (Snow) Svec, age 94, of Ellsworth, died Friday, Jan. 25, at the Chippewa Manor Nursing Home in Chippewa Falls, Wis.

She was born on Dec. 10, 1918, the daughter of John and Susan (Barnes) Snow. Joyce was a beloved school teacher at Lindgren Elementary School for many years. She was also a member of the Ellsworth United Methodist Church.

Joyce was preceded in death by her infant son, Allen; husband, Eugene; brothers, Melvin and Vernon Snow.

She is survived by daughters Marigene Svec, Jerilyn Svec, and Jodie Cartier; grandchildren, Paul, Scott and Brent Boatman, and Kristi and Dan Bayer; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

A funeral service for Joyce will be held at 12 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, at the Hill Funeral Home in Ellsworth. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service, with lunch to follow. Private family burial will be at Trimbelle Cemetery.
