Mercedes Carole Jensen, 89, of Beldenville, Wis., died March 17 at her home.

Mercedes Carole Jensen, 89, of Beldenville, Wis., died March 17 at her home.

Mercedes was born June 3, 1923, to Martin and Opal (Carpenter) Olson in El Paso Township. She married Earl Jensen on May 18, 1944, at Minneapolis, Minn.

Preceded in death by parents; husband Earl; son David; great-grandson Hunter; sister Dorothy Thorson; three brothers, Bob, Duane, and Ted Olson.

Survived by two daughters and two sons: Linda Forss of Ellsworth, Mary (Bob) Guenther of Red Wing, Mark (Julie) Jensen of Beldenville, and Erik (LuAnne) Jensen of Bay City; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Jayne Parmeter of Prescott; many other relatives and friends.

Funeral service was 11 a.m. Thursday, March 21, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Beldenville, with Rev. John Sutherland officiating. Visitation was from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, at Keehr Funeral Home, Spring Valley, and also at church for 1 hour prior to the service on Thursday. Pallbearers were Mercedes' grandchildren. Burial was in the Our Savior's Lutheran Cemetery, Beldenville.
