Sue Halverson, 67, Bay City, died unexpectedly at her home Wednesday, Dec. 28.
She was born Aug. 22, 1944, in La Crosse, Wis., the daughter of Walt and Vernetta Nustad. She grew up in the La Crosse area and graduated from Central High School there. She worked at Brotoloc Home Health Care, tended bar at Mr-Sippi's for 16 years, and also worked at Jostens.
She enjoyed cooking, shopping, and working with the elderly.
Survivors include her significant other, Bernie Deden of Bay City; three sons, Brian Halverson of San Jose, Calif., Brent (Heather Minick) Halverson of Janesville, Minn., and Brad Halverson; the daughter of her significant other, Teresa (Paul) Moes of Hastings; two grandchildren, Avea and Tara Halverson.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4, at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel, with Reverend Kristen Schlauderaff officiating. Visitation will be for 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
