  • Chancellor Dean Van Galen hands a diploma to a graduate of UW-River Falls during the commencement ceremony Saturday at the Knowles Center. Van Galen conferred 715 bachelor’s degrees, and 95 master’s degrees.
  • At least 800 students received diplomas during two graduation ceremonies -- one at 9 a.m. and one at 2 p.m. -- held in the Knowles Center at UWRF Saturday.

  • Marv Lansing, Ph.D., a 1954 UWRF graduate, delivers a speech during UWRF commencement exercises Saturday. Lansing was chosen as the 2012 Distinguished Alumnus. Also recognized at Saturday’s ceremonies were Assistant Professor of Biology Cheng-Chen Huang as the 2012 Distinguished Teacher and Dr. W. Bradford Martin as recipient of an Honorary Doctorate.
  • Michaela Fox earned a degree from the College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences at UWRF Saturday. Other UWRF departments conferring degrees included the colleges of Business and Economics, Graduate Studies, Arts and Sciences, and Education and Professional Studies.
  • A crowd leaves the Robert P. Knowles Center following the Saturday afternoon graduation ceremony at UWRF. Many people attended a reception in the W.H. Hunt Arena after the commencement exercises.
