Johnson, a graduate of Luther College and Hamline University School of Law, was also district attorney in Pierce County from 1984-89. He served as president of the Wisconsin District Attorney’s Association in 1990 and 1995. Since 1984, Johnson has been elected to district attorney positions as a Republican.

A qualified elector is any U.S. citizen, who will be 18 years of age or older on election day, who has resided in the ward or municipality where he or she wishes to vote for at least 28 consecutive days before the election.
