Prescott, Ellsworth head to state in different roles
The favorite/underdog roles are perfectly situated for the Ellsworth and Prescott baseball teams in the 65th WIAA State Spring Baseball Tournament. Prescott opens Division 3 state semifinal play tomorrow afternoon around 3 p.m. and Ellsworth will play Racine St. Catherine's in the final semifinal of the day in Division 2 around 8 p.m. weather permitting.

Sunday's crash claims third victim, fourth also 'critical'; services today for Stillwater couple
A Prescott man died overnight Wednesday at Regions Hospital in St. Paul as a result of injuries suffered in a head-on crash last Sunday on Hwy. 35 south of Prescott. Randy J. Tape, 51, had been transported by helicopter from the scene along with his passenger, 53-year-old Tammy A. Decker, of Hastings, Minn. She remains in critical condition.
