Brewers' Axford may lose closer role after another blown save
Wisconsin Sports
-- John Axford might have lost his closer’s job last night, when the Milwaukee Brewers blew a two-run lead in the ninth inning and lost to Saint Louis 3-2 at Miller Park. It was Axford’s sixth blown save of the year, as his record dropped to 2-6. And unlike the recent past, Brewers’ manager Ron Roenicke did not give Axford a vote of confidence this time.
