It’s all about the balloons! And a new balloon is coming to Hudson for the first time for the 24th annual Hudson Hot Air Affair Feb. 1-3. The winter festival is presented by WESTconsin Credit Union—Hudson and features about 30 commercial, regular and special-shaped hot air balloons.

And a zone which covers the lower three-fourths of Wisconsin will be closed to wolf hunting starting at 5 p.m. this evening.

Falcons support cancer awareness
The UW-River Falls football and soccer teams raised a total of $1,504 in separate fundraisers during the month of October for the fight against cancer. The Falcon football team raised $480 for breast cancer awareness and prevention at its home game Oct. 13 against UW-Stevens Point while the soccer team raised $1,024 to fight endometrial cancer at its game Oct. 20 against UW-La Crosse.
