In most years the drama at the Middle Border Conference Wrestling Meet is usually who is going to finish second behind Ellsworth and it will be no different this time around either for Saturday's 51st conference meet at Durand High School. But Prescott hopes to be in contention for that spot in the conference standings which would be their highest since rejoining the league back in 2002.

Hoyer breaks arm at Winter X Games competition
Ellsworth's Justin Hoyer came within inches of sticking the first-ever double flip on a snowmobile at the Winter X Games Sunday. Instead his sled flipped over and crashed on Hoyer and broke his arm in the process.

Panthers rally to tie Forest Lake but lose on criteria, finish third
In a dramatic rally the Ellsworth High School wrestling team, ranked third in Division 2 in Wisconsin, came back from down 27-9 to tie Forest Lake, ranked third in Minnesota Class AAA, Saturday at the Forest Lake Duals. Brody Kemmerer's pinfall at heavyweight in 2:17 evened the dual at 27-27. The initial criteria decision gave Ellsworth the win but a recount gave the win to the Rangers. Ellsworth wound up third in the six-team meet.

Reserve wrestlers made their way into the starting line-up for Ellsworth in the No. 3 ranked Panthers 60-18 win over Durand Thursday while Prescott gave Amery a good tussle but lost 40-30 on the final night of Middle Border Conference dual meet competition this season.
