Old Cow Belle: When God Winks at You
It’s a little, inexpensive book, written by Squire Rushnell, but is rich in meaning for our everyday lives.

Old Cow Belle: Pencil lessons
An interesting e-mail featured beautiful colorful flowers and figurines, all created from pencils, all different colors and cut to different lengths. Some showed the sharpened ends and some the erasers. Someone with endless patience and a great imagination spent a lot of hours creating them.

Old Cow Belle: Things that last
We’ve heard it said that “they just don’t make things the way they used to.”

Old Cow Belle: Packer/Viking dilemma
I will always be a Green Bay Packer fan, but I am also a Brett Favre fan, and am happy for his success. So I guess I will have to cheer for both the Packers and Vikings, or whatever team Favre plays on in the future. If they face each other, then I would have a problem.

Old Cowbelle: New Year’s Day in the Northwoods
New Year’s Day at the cabin provided the most beautiful scenery I have ever seen on a day in January. Past Hayward, they had much more than we did here in El Paso.

'E-mail of the year'

Reminders
From an Old Cow Belle - The following has been around for a while, but it’s good to be reminded of warnings that could save lives. It’s about outdated “mixes” that might be lurking in your cupboard.

Echoes from the past
From an Old Cow Belle -This summer, I had a chance to enjoy a Wisconsin Ducks tour at the Dells.
The history of the Ducks is an interesting one. The code-named “DUKW” GI’s quickly nicknamed it “Ducks” for its amphibious prowess.

From an Old Cow Belle -At the recent assembly of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, a majority of members voted to accept gay men and women as pastors in the church.
