From an Old Cow Belle: Open Minds….Open Hearts
A fresh new school year for teachers to teach new things to new students. A fresh new school year for students to learn new things from new teachers!By Ina Murray, columnist , August 25, 2010
CowBelle: A Weird History Lesson
This came from a friend in Florida. (Thank you, friend) I wonder who in the world took the time to figure this out. Interesting, though.

Cow Belle: The Fair! The Fair!
Again, the Pierce County Fair is roaring around the corner. It seems to come faster every year.

Old Cowbelle: Spoiled Rotten
It’s amazing how very “dependent” we are on electricity! We are really spoiled rotten. Our recent power outage again pointed out how true that is.

Old Cowbelle: The Return of the Critter…or Critters?
One red squirrel caught in the trap and silence overhead for a day or two.
But soon the thumping and pattering of little feet came back. No squirrel appeared on the deck to eat bird food for a week.

Old CowBelle: The Blessings of Hospice
The Hospice program is really meant to be (and is) a blessing for patients who are in the last days of life. But far greater are the blessings felt by the volunteers who “walk” with them on their final journey. It becomes a spiritual experience.

Old CowBelle: Old Age….Weird Time of Life
I am discovering that “old age” is an odd time of life, in many ways.
My head is still working (somewhat), so I keep thinking about all the things I should get done while my head is still working. My “tent” is wearing out, but my spirit is alive and well (and grateful).

Old Cowbelle: Sadness…and Reassurance

Old Cowbelle: Some good, some bad
A lot of really good, inspiring e mails come to my inbox. Messages that uplift and inspire, telling me that the sender has a close relationship with the Lord. They brighten my day. I treasure them, and love to pass them on to other e mail friends.

Old Cowbelle: ‘Critter’ Overhead
For quite some time, I heard the patter of little feet overhead in my house. The vaulted ceiling over the living room, dining room and kitchen extends to the center of the house. From there on, the ceiling is slanted, but not that steep. There is a space between the slant and the roof of the house, and it is there that some kind of critter has taken up residence.

Old Cow Belle: One Hundred Years Ago
This came to me several times and I found it interesting. Since it is in the public domain, it can’t hurt to print it.

Old Cowbelle: Old Woman, Old Car
Last week after visiting a Hospice patient, I was headed home through a construction zone, and the car began missing a little. I tried to ignore it until I had to stop for a flag man, and really prayed that He would just let me get past this congested area where I could pull over to the side of the road. He did.

Old Cowbelle: History lesson on $1 bill
The following information has been coming to me periodically by e-mail, so I believe I am supposed to share it with everyone who may not have read about it.
