Wisconsin residents can register their landlines and cell phone numbers on the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection’s No Call list to reduce unwanted telemarketing calls for the next two years.
All eight students attending the St. Croix Valley Radio Amateurs licensing class in Baldwin on March 23-25 passed the exam. They have now received their call signs from the FCC, and are officially recognized to transmit.

In honor of National Distance Learning Week and in collaboration with the University of Wisconsin-Extension, UW-River Falls will host an open house to showcase the recently launched online Bachelor of Science in health and wellness management degree from 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, at the UW-RF Hudson Center, 2501 Hanley Road.
The Ellsworth Public Library will host a Basic Computer Series through the University of Wisconsin-Extension the second Tuesday of the month from 8:30 to 10 a.m. for four months, beginning Tuesday, Sept. 13.
