Cardinals win regional semi over Pepin 5-3, other semis scheduled for tonight
The Spring Valley-Pepin match-up was the only WIAA regional semifinal to take place in Pierce County Tuesday as they rest were postponed to Wednesday evening due to wet field conditions from Tuesday's heavy rains. The Cardinals beat the Lakers for the third straight time this season 5-3.

Local champions
The Spring Valley sixth grade baseball team went to a tournament in Menomonie on Saturday, May 15th and won 1st Place. The Cardinals beat Menomonie in the first game, Ellsworth in the second and beat Colfax in the championship.
