-- La Crosse finally had a dry day yesterday. The National Weather Service said the city ended 10 straight days with at least some rain – and it all added up to two-point-six inches.

Hudson company cited for labor law violations

Gilman man arrested for bomb threats against Taylor County officials 
Western Wisconsin News-- Authorities in northwest Wisconsin said a man boasted about using homemade explosives to kill three officials in Taylor County. Sheriff Bruce Daniels said 22-year-old Patrick Staton of Gilman is in jail under a 25-thousand-dollar bond, as he awaits charges in the case.

Altoona man sentenced for using hazardous acids to refine gold from scrap metal 
Western Wisconsin News-- The actual charge against an Altoona man was disposing of hazardous waste without a license. Matthew Hagen also failed to submit hazardous waste report. The 24-year old was sentenced to four months in jail and three years probation on his guilty plea. He also has to pay a fine and nearly $4,200 dollars restitution.
