Portage puts down Panthers title hopes in 8-3 win, Panthers take second in first state trip
Despite outhitting Portage 9-8, Ellsworth was behind the Warriors in two just as important stats, errors and runs. The Panthers lost 8-3 in the Division 2 championship game of the WIAA State Tournament Thursday afternoon at Fox Cities Stadium.

The Panthers made a double play for the county as they upset No. 1 ranked Racine St. Catherine's 5-1 in Wednesday's Division 2 state semifinals.

Prescott gave up the most amount of hits it's had all season in one game in Thursday's afternoon's WIAA Division 3 State Semifinal at Fox Cities Stadium. But the No. 1 ranked Cardinals had their bats going too and they also played better defense on their way to a 16-7 win over Oshkosh Lourdes/Oshkosh Valley Christian.
