Old Cowbelle: Bald is beautiful!
I think it’s amusing how many bald heads there are now, on television and in the world. It used to be kind an embarrassment for a man to have a bald head, and now I think many of them are actually shaving their heads to be bald. But I know some really are losing their hair.

Two TV channels focus on the “goings on” in the U. S. Senate and the House, and watching them gives a real “peek” into the arguments for and against the bills to be voted on. It’s very interesting and enlightening. And sometimes frustrating.

I think it’s funny how, sometimes when I go to bed, get all settled down and comfortable…..that I can’t turn off my mind! It’s not really funny; it’s aggravating. I lie there in the dark, trying to go to sleep, and my old head just keeps on turning out nonsense.

Old Cowbelle: Lime Green Birds, Bettle Eggs and Old Age
My bird population is down this year; maybe the lack of snow covering allows them to find seeds and things “out there.” I do have sparrows, juncos, nuthatches, chickadees and a couple of woodpeckers, but no cardinals or gross beaks, and only two blue jays so far.

One morning as I was dusting a north window (yes, I do dust once in a GREAT while), a huge eagle flew by the house, so low I could almost see its eyes. Sonia was just then driving into my yard and the eagle flew right over her car.

As the wedding guests moved up the walk approaching Our Savior’s Church, the lights shown out from the beautiful stained glass windows, as big, soft snowflakes drifted slowly to the ground, making a sparkling blanket on the church yard.
