Pierce County: Ceremonies planned for Memorial Day
Local American Legion and Legion Auxiliary members will be up early Monday morning as they visit cemeteries throughout Pierce County and march in annual parades to pay tribute to military men and women who have died.

Hwy. 35 crash results in injury, citation
The commute home to River Falls at the intersection of southbound Hwy. 35 and Radio Road was slowed late Tuesday afternoon, May 14, by a car vs. motorcycle collision. The injured motorcyclist, Michael D. Fisher, Jr., 33, Hammond, was heading south toward River Falls when a 1996 Honda Accord driven by Katie L. Anderson, 20, River Falls, allegedly failed to yield from a stop sign while pulling out from Radio Road.

UPDATE: I-94 reopened following semi rollover
Authorities reopened eastbound I-94 just east of the Roberts exit about 10 a.m., Monday, just 75 minutes after a semi unit hauling utility poles strayed off the shoulder in a construction zone and overturned, spilling its load into a ditch and snarling traffic.
