The Murder-Mystery Dinner Theater “Death of a Tax Man” will be presented by NewBridge Theatre Company in Hastings, Minn., in collaboration with CaféTwo 14 in Prescott, on Saturday, April 13. All high school-age students from western Wisconsin and eastern Minnesota are invited to submit one recent original work in any media — drawing, painting, collage, photography, sculpture, ceramics, jewelry, or other fine crafts — for display in the Annual Area High School Art Exhibition, which will run April 27 through May 11 in The Galleries of The Phipps Center for the Arts.
I’m way behind in my coverage of the Scandinavian thriller surge in world publishing, not having even read a Stieg Larsson thriller, so I’ll try to make it up by reviewing a finely wrought thriller by first-time Swedish author Alexander Soderberg. It’s “The Andalucian Friend,” (Crown, $26), translated by Neil Smith.
