Saturday, February 20 was the date for the Lions Club of Spring Valley annual fishing derby on the Eau Galle Reservoir just north of Spring Valley. Besides the fishing contest, there was plenty of food, sledding, skating and outdoor winter fund on a beautiful sunny day with little or none of the biting wind that's always a chore to deal with when ice fishing.
