Letter: Look no further than local businesses to create jobs, he says
TO THE EDITOR: Recently, there were articles in the media announcing the President of the United States was meeting with CEOs of companies.
Their mission was and is to find ways to create jobs. Unfortunately, the governors of each state, county chairmen of each county, town chairmen of each township, mayors of each city, etc., etc., haven't followed suit and met with businesses and companies in their community to do the same.
I believe the mind set is to blame everything on the federal government, allowing local leaders to sit on their hands and wait for everything to get better.
The foundation of any thriving economy starts with jobs. Jobs in local communities are the building blocks to a strong and vibrant economy. Local leaders should look no further than their local businesses to create jobs and build from there.
