Letter: They're grateful for local March of Dimes support
TO THE EDITOR: We'd like to express our most sincere appreciation for the love and support our family, friends and community have shown us year after year in our efforts to support the March of Dimes mission that one day, all babies will be born healthy.
On April 28, we will walk in our fifth March for Babies in memory of our daughter who passed due to prematurity, in honor of our son who was also born premature and our other son who was born full term. Over the last five years, this community has helped us to raise over $55,000 for the March of Dimes.
On April 13th, we held a fundraiser for this cause and were on the receiving end of over 70 silent auction donations. We are very grateful for each one of them, as they helped us to raise over $6,000 that evening.
We would like to especially acknowledge the following businesses that supported our mission this year: El Paso Bar and Grill, WESTconsin Credit Union, Sport Clips, Hidden Rush Boarding, Gordie's Lock and Key, Gelly's Pub and Eatery, Associated Dentists, Sophisticated Grace Photography, Hair Designs by Tammy, Valley Custom Welding, Designs by Jill, T-Bar, Freedom, Subway and Dairy Queen.
We are very fortunate to live in a community that is so supportive of this charity and we are grateful for the generous backing we receive from our family, friends and neighbors.
