Badger Girls

The 10 delegates who have been chosen to attend Badger Girls State in June gathered at the American Legion Hall May 12 for an orientation presented by Badger Girl representative Connie Berning.

The delegates were briefed on preparation for the week-long experience as well as what to expect when they get there. Over 750 participants from around Wisconsin will create a mythical, new state and learn about the structure of city, state and national government as well as what is expected of elected officials.

Badger Girls State, which is organized by the American Legion Auxiliary, will be held 20-25 at the UW-Oshkosh.
