The collaborative book, Fundamentally Female™, written by Reneé Rongen and contributors, is heading to the 2013 Academy Awards on Sunday, Feb. 24. The book will be featured in the swag bags of each of the female Oscar nominees.

River Falls resident Peggy Lee Hanson is one of the contributors of stories, poetry and artistry.

Hanson's writing career began in 2009, when six months after she was laid-off from her job at Northwest Airlines, she self-published "fiftysomething: The Unknown Dreams and Paths." She added two more books to her Life Adventure's series entitled, "Thrown into Transition: Now What Do I Do?" and "The Acceptance Factor: To Serenity and Beyond."

Ms. Hanson is the founder of Personal Transition Guidance, LLC where she assists middle-aged women who are experiencing layoffs or simply, the challenges and changes that come with life.

For those who won't be attending the Oscars, but would like to obtain a copy of the book, it is available online at Fundamentally Female
