Hudson mother and daughter team up for writing workshop July 23
Hudson author Natalie Buske Thomas, known for her popular Serena Wilcox Mysteries for adult readers, and daughter Cassandra, also an author, will be co-hosting a writing workshop at 6.30 p.m. Tuesday, July 23, at the Hudson Public Library, 700 First Street, Room 219.
The two will be speaking on the topic of “How to Promote Yourself, How to Invest, and How to Make Time.”
Cassandra Thomas is an independent cartoonist and a biotechnology student at the UW-River Falls. She taught herself to draw from Disney’s Magic Artist books and started drawing seriously at the age of 14. Her original webcomic was launched when she was eighteen and she used the platform, Kickstarter, to publish the first volume of “KiLA iLO.” There have been two subsequent volumes since and more to come.
Cassandra also teams up with Natalie to produce a webcomic called “Dramatic Mom” and hopes to one day go into research medicine.
Cassandra will be returning to Hudson Public Library at a later date to conduct a drawing workshop for teens on Thursday, July 25, from 3:30 to 5 p.m. And on Saturday, Aug. 3, Natalie will read from, and discuss her Serena Wilcox Dystopian Trilogy from 10 a.m. to noon at the library.
