Westconsin candy bar sales donated to CAB

REIVER FALLS -  Westconsin Credit Union held a candy bar fundraiser in recognition of its 75th Anniversary last month. Candy bars were sold at all Westconsin office locations with proceeds benefiting a local community theater or arts group.

The River Falls office was able to present a check for $478.04 to the River Falls Community Arts Base.

In total, over $5,000 was dispersed to theater and arts groups in Amery, Baldwin, Barron, Eau Claire, Hudson, Menomonie, New Richmond, Prescott, River Falls, and Spring Valley.

The River Falls Community Arts Base (CAB) is a non-profit organization dedicated to facilitating arts-related events and projects in and around the community of River Falls.

Since 1996, CAB has sponsored such events as the annual Spring Art Gala, Music in the Park, CAB Barn Dances, Art on the Kinni, and the Main Street Art Crawl. Their board is made up of dedicated individuals who feel it is important to provide all members of the community with access to diverse, arts-related events.

Westconsin Credit Union has been serving members since 1939, and membership is open to anyone who lives or works in the Wisconsin counties of Barron, Buffalo, Burnett, Chippewa, Clark, Dunn, Eau Claire, Jackson, Pepin, Pierce, Polk, Rusk, St. Croix, Sawyer, Taylor, Trempealeau, and Washburn, or the Minnesota counties of Anoka, Chisago, Dakota, Goodhue, Isanti, Ramsey, Wabasha, and Washington.
