Concert at UW-RF

The UW-River Falls Symphony Band and the University Band will present a concert on Thursday, March 11, in the Kleinpell Fine Arts Building, UWRF Campus, 410 S. Third St., River Falls. Directors Dr. Kristin Tjornehoj and Dr. Gary Bird will lead musicians in music by Edward Gregson, Sousa and Shelley Hansen. Price: $5 adults/$3 seniors/$2 students.

Friday, March 12

Preschool Story Time: Feathered Friends

On Friday, March 12, from 10-11 a.m., the Carpenter Nature Center, northwest of Prescott, will present Preschool Story Time: Feathered Friends. It's designed for young children, ages two through five (with a parent or guardian). Call 651-437-4359 to register.

Fish Fry

Saturday, March 13

A Kids' Movie

The March Kids' Movie will be shown at the Prescott Public Library on Saturday, March 13, at 10:30 a.m. "Where the Wild Things Are" is a film version of a children's book. This event is free and open to the public. For more information, call (715) 262-5555.

Taste of Freedom

On Saturday, March 13, from 3:30-7:30 p.m., Taste of Freedom will be presented at the Great River Visitor and Learning Center in Freedom Park, Prescott. There will be foods from Prescott and area restaurants, and a silent auction. Two National Park superintendents partnering with the Friends will attend. Fee $35/person.
