Benefit for ex-Ellsworth resident with cancer June 22

A former local resident who's been diagnosed with cancer will be the subject of a benefit this month.

The benefit for Lisa Fasbender is planned for Saturday, June 22, from 5 p.m. to midnight at the Lent Town Hall, 33155 Hemingway Ave., Stacy, Minn.

A dinner of spaghetti, meatballs, bread and salad will be served from 5 to 7 p.m. The dinner is being donated by Hearthside Pizza of St. Paul; a $10 donation from diners is requested.

The Stacy Lions will sell beer and soft drinks, and there will be a DJ to provide entertainment. Attendees can win raffled items, silent auction items and have a chance to make a difference in the life of someone who could use a hand.
