Prescott forensics team second in sweepstakes

The Prescott forensics team competed at the St. Croix Falls Forensics Tournament on March 6.

The team took second place in Team Sweepstakes. Many team members placed in their individual categories, including:

  • Stephanie Kelley, third in Demonstration;
  • Alec Hamilton, second in Extemporaneous Speaking;
  • Melanie Tschida, third in 4 Minute;
  • Anita Fraser, second in 4 Minute;
  • Nick Helberg, first in 4 Minute;
  • Mikayla Rowan, Elissa Koele, Emily Valentine, third in Group Interpretation;
  • Dominic Carlson, fourth in Moments in History;
  • Jessica Hanneman, second in Moments in History;
  • Mindy Mutschler, first in Moments in History, first in Storytelling;
  • Kendyl Reis, second in Oratory and second in Impromptu;
  • Brenna Ryan and Zach Lewis, second in Play Acting;
  • Zach Lewis, fourth in Impromptu;
  • Julia Skinner, Amber Cahill, Katie Heltne and Lauren Bieter, fifth in Play Acting;
  • Emily Bayer, fifth in Poetry;
  • Katie Mutschler, second in Public Address;
  • Kellie Schaefer, fourth in Public Address;
  • Valerie Sarratt, fifth in Special Occasion and first in Impromptu.

    Other PHS students competing included: Desa Merila, Jackie Cutler, Natalie Simon, Heidi Lillie, Lennie Ballosh and Jake Greene.
