Krauss serves on kitchen crew to help bloodmobile in Ellsworth

Jean F. Krauss of Ellsworth has been on the receiving end of blood donation efforts.

Krauss required a blood transfusion when she experienced a miscarriage, she said Thursday. She also had to have blood after being involved in a car accident on CTH C south of the village, leaving her with four broken ribs and a collapsed lung, among other injuries.

The local resident has been on the giving end of donation efforts, too. However, small veins prevent her from actually donating blood, so she volunteers to work in the kitchen for the American Red Cross Bloodmobile when it stops here.
