Plum City park lighting set for Saturday, Nov. 29

PLUM CITY -- It was announced during the Plum City Village Board meeting last week that the Plum City Park lighting has been set for Saturday, Nov. 29.

The lighting of the memorial lights will occur, along with a visit from Santa Claus. Memorial lights are still on sale through Friday, Nov. 21, for $3 each and can be picked up at the Plum City branch of the First Bank of Baldwin, Plum City Hardware, the library and the village office. The exact time on when everything begins was unknown as of early this week.

In other news, the board also announced that, at noon this Sunday, there will be a party in the park, where decorations will be hung. Beverages and hot dogs will be served. Also, the board heard that, starting on Thursday, Dec. 4, the permanent food shelf location in Plum City will be at the Evangelical Free Church.

The next board meeting is set for 6:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 1.
