Spring Fling Expo Saturday at EHS

The Ellsworth Area Chamber of Commerce will coordinate its third annual Spring Fling Expo from 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Ellsworth High School Gymnasium.

The goal of the Expo, which is free to the public, is to provide an opportunity for Ellsworth area businesses to showcase their variety of products and services available to the Ellsworth area community.

New for the Expo this year is the following businesses will present informational sessions lasting throughout the day: Associated Bank will talk about market history, Ellsworth Care Center will discuss power of attorney, Freier's Electric and Heating will talk about the latest in geothermal technology, Pamida will highlight its foundation, Pierce Pepin Cooperative Services will discuss energy conservation, Pierce Veterinary Clinic will talk about what parasites live in pets, and Sargent's Nursery will discuss gardening. The sessions are expected to last around 15 minutes.

Another new feature is Sonshine Christian Children's Center will supervise the kids' activities, which include free throws, jump rope, face painting, hopscotch and coloring. Concessions will be handled by the Ellsworth Senior Lock-In Committee.

A scavenger hunt drawing for 150 Ellsworth dollars is planned, along with door prizes available from each business. Expo Coordinator Kris Flock said last week 32 businesses or associations have signed up to be vendors, an increase from 24 last year.
