Randall appointed newest MR board member

MAIDEN ROCK--Cynde Randall was appointed as the newest Maiden Rock Village Board trustee earlier this month.

Randall will fill the seat vacated by Wayne Larson, who resigned last month. Randall's term will expire next April.

In other news, the board:

--After a lengthy discussion, decided to increase the vendor fees during the Spring Flood Run from $50 to $75. It was also agreed the fire department will mark off 10x10 spots in the park for each vendor.

--In another Flood Run item, will designate camper areas for flood participants along with renting recyclable containers from Pierce County. The alleyway behind the businesses will be closed as well. The Spring Flood Run is set for Saturday, April 17.

--Discussed drafting an ordinance in relation to board policy dealing with many issues, including members' unexcused and excused absences.

--Set the next monthly meeting for 6 p.m. Monday, April 5.
