T-Wolves still looking to sign free agents

MINNEAPOLIS - The Timberwolves are still looking to reach agreement with free agents, two days before signings can officially take place.

The Wolves last week contacted forwards Rudy Gay and David Lee, with Gay canceling a trip to Minnesota after agreeing to a five-year deal to stay in Memphis. Lee visited Timberwolves officials last week. His old team, the New York Knicks, picked up one of the top available free agents yesterday by coming to terms with forward Amare Stoudemire.

Timberwolves basketball operations president David Kahn says they have to work on developing relationships with free agents, then convince them that playing in Minnesota is a good thing.
