Rain alters Vikings practice schedule
MANKATO, Minn. - Rain forced Vikings coach Brad Childress to flip flop his training camp schedule yesterday.
He had originally planned to put his team through a fully-padded workout in the morning and a lighter special teams session in the afternoon. But, rains moved into Mankato in the morning hours and the coach switched the special teams portion of the practice to the morning and indoors and moved the full workout to the afternoon to conduct it outdoors. The team spent much of the afternoon practice working on goal line and short yardage situations.
The team is scheduled to practice twice again today before leaving for St. Louis on Friday for Saturday night's preseason game against the Rams.
