Plum City rolls to 3-0 sweep of Cardinals

PLUM CITY - Plum City High School's volleyball team overwhelmed Pierce County rival Spring Valley with strong serving and hitting Thursday.

The Blue Devils defeated the Cardinals in three games 25-19, 25-13 and 25-16. PC improves to 5-1 in the Dunn-St. Croix Conference while SV drops to 1-5.

Spring Valley played even with Plum City early in each game but the Devils overpowered the Cards' with their hits and serves.

Marah Boyer had 10 kills to lead the home team while Jordyn Mark had nine. Boyer finished with five aces while Bri Sigler had four. Both Mark and Heather Von Holtum each had two blocks. Morgan Sweeney finished with 24 assists.
