Plum City girls end losing streak at 41 games

SPRING VALLEY - Not only did the Plum City girls basketball team end a 41-game losing skid Thursday evening but they did so with an explosive 52-27 rout of Spring Valley.

This time around it was Plum City ahead in the first half with a big lead, 30-16. This time around PC overwhelmed their opponents by a wide margin in a single quarter, 17-4 in the third.

This time around it was Plum City with the scorers in double figures. Marah Boyer finished with 19 points and Heather Von Holtum had 13 to go with 10 rebounds. Boyer gabbed seven rebounds. Tiffany Clare finished with nine points.

Emma Gaustad led Spring Valley, who had to go without several players due to injuries and illness, with 10 points.

PC finishes the regular season 1-19 and Spring Valley is 1-21. Both teams play first round, regional tournament games next Tuesday.
