Augustus's 25 points leads to a Lynx win in Arizona

PHOENIX -- Seimone Augustus poured in 25 points to lead the Lynx past the Mercury 106-98, in a day game yesterday in Arizona.

Hutchinson native and former Golden Gopher Lindsay Whalen finished with 16 points and eight assists in the squad's third straight win. Diana Taurasi led the Mercury with 24 as they saw their six-game win streak come to an end.

Four Lynx players will be playing this weekend in the WNBA All-Star game Saturday. Forward Rebekkah Brunson, along with Whalen and Augustus, will join rookie forward Maya Moore in the contest. Moore is the lone starter of the quartet.

The Lynx will be back in action Tuesday as they host the Los Angeles Sparks.
