Several Minnesotans could be chosen in MLB Draft

There are several Minnesota-based players who could hear their name called over the next few days as part of the Major League Baseball First Year Player Draft.

Red Wing senior outfielder Ryan Boldt is considered to be the top high school prospect in the state. He has signed to play college baseball at Nebraska, but could bypass that chance if the right offer comes in after the draft. High school pitchers Max Knutson of Mounds View and Logan Shore of Coon Rapids are also expected to be chosen in the first ten rounds of the draft.

Knutson is also signed with Nebraska, while Shore is set to play for Florida. Golden Gopher junior pitchers Tom Windle of Maple Grove and D.J. Snelton of Ingelside, Illinois are also likely draftees.
