KENOSHA - Kenosha Police say a boy who fell from a second-story window has died.
The 4-year-old boy had been in the hospital since the incident on Friday, his death was announced yesterday. Police are not giving out many details at this time, saying the incident is still under investigation.
Plymouth police say a four-year-old girl has died after being hit by a vehicle. Authorities say the incident happened in the parking lot of the Plymouth Aquatic Center. The child was transported to St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan, where she later died. Police continue to investigate the incident.
An Eastern Wisconsin man has been jailed for allegedly driving off while his girlfriend hung onto the windshield wipers. Manitowoc Police say the unidentified 31-year-old woman told them she was trying to stop her 31-year-old boyfriend from a drug deal. Police say the woman fell off and was later hospitalized, but suffered only cuts and bruises. The boyfriend faces first-degree reckless endangerment and domestic violence charges.
Federal Prosecutors in Milwaukee are suing a Kentucky-based pharmaceuticals company for allegedly illegally dispensing addictive narcotics. The suit against PharMerica Corp., based in Louisville, Kentucky, comes from a 2009 report from a pharmacists who claims she witnessed the illegal practices. The whistle-blower says when she brought it up with bosses, they ignored her – so she brought it to the Drug Enforcement Agency. The lawsuit accuses the company of not using a doctor’s signature to fill prescriptions, investigators say there were many instances where there was no signature at all. PharMerica provides pharmaceutical services to long-term facilities across the nation, about 40-million prescriptions were filled between 2007 and 2009.
