WISCONSIN NEWS ROUND-UP: No supsects being sought in teen's disappearance
WAUKESHA - Authorities say they're not looking for anyone involved in the disappearance of a 15-year-old Wisconsin girl found in Chicago over the weekend.
The Waukesha County Sheriff’s department says Kathryn Stalbaum had been missing since she vanished from her home near the Town of Genesee earlier in the week. The teen was found Friday night when she approached a Chicago police officer. Authorities say Stalbaum was in good physical condition when she was found.
Enbridge Energy officials say they have filed a proposal with regulators for a pipeline thru Wisconsin. The estimated $2.6 billion dollar pipeline would carry crude oil from the Bakken oil fields of North Dakota to a Superior terminal. The proposed route would follow existing routes, according to a company official. The Public Utilities Commission will have to approve the proposal, which includes public meetings and hearings. Enbridge hopes to begin construction by late 2014-early 2015.
Authorities have identified a couple killed in a southern Wisconsin crash on Thursday. The Columbia County Sheriff’s office says Edwin and Le Vita Glick were killed when their truck struck a mini-van just east of Pardeeville. The 38-year-old van driver was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities say the Glicks and the van driver were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
