Two area houses damaged by fire
A house in Bay City was damaged by fire Thursday evening.
The Ellsworth Fire Department was called to the Fred C. Scott residence at W6498 Main St. at 8:04 p.m. There was extensive fire damage; the occupants got out safely and no one was injured.
The cause of the blaze was undetermined as of Friday. Fire fighters were on the scene until 9:39 p.m.
Also Thursday at 9:27 a.m., the EFD went to the Clark House residence at W6094 Hwy. 10 on a report of smoke in the basement. The smoke was traced to a fan motor in the furnace. There was minor damage.
The occupant of the residence, near the T-Bar, apparently wasn't home at the time of the report.
