10-year-old boy victim of car-bike collision

RIVER FALLS --- A 10-year-old boy was sent to River Falls Area Hospital as a result of a car-bike accident Monday afternoon in the Town of River Falls.

The accident occurred at 4:20 p.m. at the intersection of Hwy. 29-35 and CTH FF. According to the Pierce County Sheriff's Department, a Chevrolet Suburban operated by Christopher Miller, 48, Lake City, Minn., was traveling westbound on 29-35, approaching the intersection with FF. The boy entered the intersection from FF with his bicycle and was struck by Miller.

He was transported by River Falls Ambulance Service to the hospital with undetermined injuries. His condition was unknown as of early this week.

Miller and the two passengers in his vehicle were unharmed.

Assisting the sheriff's department were the ambulance service and the River Falls Police Department.
