Board OKs site for Crossing Meadows holding pond

The most discussed topic for the Ellsworth Village Board Monday night during its hour-long meeting was the debate over the holding pond at Crossing Meadows.

Businessman Lonnie Feuerhelm appeared before the board in its October meeting stating there wasn't enough adequate drainage for his lots in the development.

"I didn't know about this until three months after I bought this land," Feuerhelm told the Board during that meeting. Feuerhelm and the Board discussed the issue in closed session at the November meeting, but no action was taken.

Public Works Director Greg Engeset presented the Board with two locations for where the pond should be.

"We have to act on this sooner or later," he said.
